
3 DAYS NYIKA NATIONAL PARK
This safari leaves either from Nkhata Bay or Mzuzu. It takes you to the most excellent nature reserve of Malawi's northern region. Nyika National Park, this wild untouched, sometimes mist-covered place is the only Afromontane big game park in South-Central Africa. It offers the chance of some rare and exciting sightings of both animals and birdlife. Game in Nyika include antelope: eland, roan, duiker, reedbuck, bushbuck, other mammals are zebra, warthog,spotted hyena, side-striped jackal. Leopard sightings are fair. Elephants keep to the lower edges of the park.
ITINERARY
DAY 1 - NYIKA NATIONAL PARK
Leave Nkhata bay or Mzuzu in the morning and do some shopping in Mzuzu at the local market. Picnic lunch on route and arrive in Nyika in the afternoon. Have one or two hours to unwind from the journey and then later go for a game drive. Nyika is known to combine some of the best breath taking views together with wonderful wildlife. This is Malawi's largest national park. Dinner is served at the camp.
DAY 2 - NYIKA NATIONAL PARK
Whole day spent in Nyika with an optional game walk or drive in the morning. After lunch and unwinding afternoon dive follows. The camp also offers night game drives and mountain biking for a fee.
DAY 3 - END OF SAFARI
After breakfast drive back to Mzuzu or Nkhata Bay and drop you off at your place of choice.
