South Luangwa national park is dubbed as one of the best animal sanctuaries in the world due to the large concentration of animals along the Luangwa river. Walking safaris originated in this park and is one of the finest ways to experience Africa's pristine wilderness first hand.

WHY VISIT SOUTH LUANGWA NATIONAL PARK

South Luangwa is one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world, it is one of Zambia's main draws. This 9,050 square kilometre park is centred around the Luangwa river and is home to one of the largest concentration of wildlife. It is one of the best known national parks in Africa for walking safaris.

SOUTH LUANGWA - ACTIVITIES

Game Drives - Morning and afternoon drives are offered. Morning drives usually start before sunrise. This allows you to take the best of the morning game-viewing. Afternoon drives continue after sunset and this allows you to spot some nocturnal creatures of the park.


Bush Camp -This gives you an opportunity to enjoy the real bush game experience as you are accompanied by a guide and walk from one overnight camp to another along the river banks. This allows you to explore areas where there are no roads seeing nothing but wildlife.
